Dear fellow workers,
In the most recent update of the Global CHE website (which I urge you to read – Click on Logo) Doctor Gomez says “Amidst the trials and attacks the ministry goes on! The Lord has sent five Short Term Mission teams in a row to Guatemala.” It is these teams and your support that are part of the life blood of CHE and Global CHE Enterprise.
The last few months have been a difficult time for GCE and particularly the Gomez family but we have found strength in your partnership.
2 Corinthians 9:8-9 says “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”
From these verses we can clearly see it is the Lord that has provided. But it is your willing hearts, hand and giving that really empowers the less fortunate in the villages we are called to work. As a board we thank you.
Dr. Hugo and family are strengthened in your partnership.
Please take time and read the most recent edition of Global CHE Enterprises website: pay special attention to the “Prayer” tab http://www.globalche.org/prayer and continue to do the hard work of upholding this ministry and all of the CHE.
Blessings,
Mike Douglas, Chairman of the Board,
Dr Hugo Gomez,
and the entire GCE Board.

Jim Liljegren – Eastern Europe
Dear Prayer Partners,
Thank you for standing with us over the last 15 years of our global ministry. Many lives have been changed and churches planted for the glory of our God!
As you know 22 people will be going to Czech Republic (7), Russia (13), and Italy (10) to work alongside church planters doing evangelism and encouragement ministries. The Gospel will be continuously presented during the family camps in Czech and Italy and during our courtyard time in Pskov, Russia. Another person will be going to Saransk, Russia conducting a children’s camp.
Many of us are behind in raising the necessary funds for these ministries. I am part of the leadership for all three teams. My goal is $6,100. So far, $3,895 has come in…praise the Lord!!! I still need $2,177 by June 3rd. Others on the team are also in great need.
Our method of fund raising begins with prayer…asking God to provide for our financial needs. Then we inform people about our ministry focus and ask them to pray. So, would you pray for us that God will provide all that we need to fulfill the vision that we have for our summer ministry? Thank you very much!
Also, pray for our ministry to be effective. We desire to be used by God in sharing the only hope of salvation…that is, a right relationship to God through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross, paying the penalty for our sins. People desperately need the Lord and we want to share His message of hope and reconciliation. (2 Cor. 5:17-21…”We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”)
Thank you for your continuing prayers and any financial help you can give to us!
God is able!
Jim

Update – Dale & Jerusha Losch – CrossWorld

The Losch’s – CrossWorld
Dear Grace Community Church,
We just returned back from a trip to Brazil. We have been away 4.5 weeks out of the last 6. So I have been very negligent about thanking you for your faithful support. We are truly grateful for your sacrifice and for your generosity all through the year.
In February we attended our annual CEO retreat which happened to be in Orlando this year- put on by Wycliffe, Campus Crusade- CRU, Pioneers, and New Tribes. It was wonderful to tour their facilities and to see how God is doing in those ministries. If you are ever in the Orlando area, these are well worth the time to tour their facilities. Afterwards, we visited a number of our retirees in the area. What a joy it was to visit with them, meet a couple of ones that I had never met before and to listen to their stories about what God has done in and through them. Without exception, each of them- most in their late 70-80’s are continuing to serve the Lord where they have retired. It was so neat to hear how God continues to use them. It was a powerfully challenging time. We took one day to enjoy the beach…but it rained!
Less than a week after our return, we did a road trip to Pennsylvania where Dale spoke at churches on the two weekends and then we visited with various pastors, supporters, and friends in between time. We also took 3 days to visit NYC. The one full day there, it rained, but we were still able to see the sights. One of our highlights was to visit the Brooklyn Tabernacle on their prayer meeting night- pastored by Jim Cymbala. The place holds probably close to 1500+ seats and the place was full! We then headed up to Canada for a board meeting where we were able to visit with a number of friends and supporters as well as to see our kids one evening and see Dale’s family. It snowed there every day! On our way back to Missouri, we stopped and saw Hannah at school. She ended up having the following week off because she is student teaching this semester. The school where she is at was on spring break! So we took her back with us! That was a special treat for us since she hadn’t come home for March break. Nathan and Bre were off for a couple of days too, so they came up for 2 days to celebrate Easter a bit early. So over the course of 2 weeks, we got to see all of our kids! J
We left for Brazil on Easter afternoon and spent the week with all of our staff in the Belem area. They had their conference that week, so we didn’t need to travel around to visit each of them but rather got to see all of them in one place! It made it easier for us. It rained everyday- like it always does in that part of Brazil, but it was a warm rain. It is very humid there but it was wonderful! The highlight for me was to hear each “team” present what God has been doing in their area over the past year. There were about 60 folks from Germany, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and Canada. It was great to see their unity and enthusiasm for the work. Each were so different, there were ones who worked with street kids, ones who worked with families from the dump, a riverboat ministry, various indigenous tribal works, a seminary work, camp work, Child Evangelism Fellowship work, and MK school teachers.
These next 2 weeks are set aside for strategic planning at each level so there are lots of discussion groups, meetings, training etc. planned and then Dale speaks at various churches on the weekends. Please pray for clear direction. We will be headed to Asia on Ap. 24 so would appreciate your prayers for that time too.
We are so grateful for you as a church family. I trust the celebration went well for Pastor Randy and Sarah. We remember you in our prayers. Much love, Dale and Jerusha Losch

El Cajon Update – #4
March 29, 2013 by Greg

El Cajon Team
Today we finished our final day of VBS by talking about Paul and Silas. Mike Braga shared with the kids “that even when they can’t see Him, Jesus is with them just like He was with Paul and Silas in prison. Kids can be fearless about the future because Jesus is always with them and has a plan for them.” It was a great day and has been a great week. Have had great reports from the staff about the Parents’ and kids’ response to the team from Grace Doing VBS.
Yesterday Pastor Mark made a “switch” and talked about Soli deo Gloria. He said he wanted to talk about Sola Christus today because of Good Friday but God also had a plan. What he shared yesterday was exactly what one woman needed to hear. She was not going to be there today so had he not “switched” she would not have heard what she needed. God’s timing is perfect. I hope you take the time today to remember the price that Christ paid for you and I on the cross.
The rest of the day we will be visiting with the residents. Please keep us in your prayers. We will be leaving tomorrow after breakfast and should be home before dinner. We’re looking forward to being back with our Grace Family to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this coming Lord’s Day. See you soon.

Visit our Facebook Page for current pictures being posted of this week’s trip.
Yesterday’s Message on Sola Gratia (Grace Alone) was well received by the residents at the center. We again had the opportunity to practice “Flexibility”. The leadership decided they had no work projects for us so this gave us the afternoon to build relationships with the residents and have conversations. The people here are progressing well but they are also hurting. These opportunities to talk and encourage them are so needed and a great encouragement to them and to us.
Last night the Durocher Family did a concert and it was excellent. They are a tremendous family with a great testimony.
VBS went well again today. Pastor Greg shared the story of Jesus as our Shepherd and what He did for us so that we could become members of God’s Family. Our key verse was 1 John 3:16. The games went well and the kids seem to be enjoying the time that we spend with them.
Today Pastor Mark will be teaching on Sola Christus (Christ Alone) during the 1pm teaching time. Please keep him in prayer. This afternoon we have the privilege of being able to go to the Creation Museum.
Tomorrow is our last full day of ministry. Pray for our VBS time, Pastor Mark’s message on Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone) and the conversations we will have with the residents.

El Cajon Team
Part of being on a Missions Team is being Flexible. Yesterday afternoon we got to practice “flexibility”! When our work project leader was unable to show, we had to go in a different direction. Mike, Julie and Karen-Marie went to someone’s home whose on staff here and Mike helped the man put in a hot-water heater while Julie and Karen-Marie got to visit with his wife. Mark, Greg, Dennis, John and Colin got to go to “The Ranch”. The Ranch is Phase#1 when you come to the center (where our team is staying is where Phase #2 begins). There’s a separate ranch for both men and women. This is ground-zero for those that want to come into the program. After a nice tour, Pastor Greg had the opportunity to preach on Sola Gratia or Grace Alone. We had a great time with the men there and some great conversations (at The Ranch we were only 4 miles from the border of Mexico). Last night, after dinner with the people, we did some prep for VBS today and “hit the hay” early.
This morning’s VBS went well also. The kids heard from Dennis “how Jesus miraculously fed over 5,000 people” and “that Jesus knows what kids need and will provide what’s best for them.” Our key verse was Philippians 4:19. Today Pastor Greg will speak on Sola Gratia to the clients here at the center. After that, we hope to be involved in some work projects. The team is doing well together and God is at work here. If you’ve never been on a trip with Grace before, you might want to think about joining this trip next year. It’s a great introduction to missions work and I know you’ll be blessed as we have been thus far. Tomorrow Pastor Mark will share about Sola Christus or Christ Alone. Please continue to keep all the ministry here in prayer.

El Cajon Team
We arrived safely after a brief stop to enjoy the ocean! What a creation! What a God!
After settling in and grabbing a bite to eat we set out to have some conversations with the clients that are involved in the program here. We were all amazed at how kind, friendly and open they were about their lives and their stories. All of them have seen a side of life that none of us has ever been exposed to.
We began the day in Daniel 4 with a devotion on humility. It’s important for us to remember how blessed we are with what God has given us. We then moved into VBS with about 30 kids. Pastor Greg lead music (No, that was not a typo) and John Molina did the Bible story-where our verse for the day was Psalm 46:1. John did a fantastic job communicating with the kids “about Jesus and His friends in a boat on stormy seas, and how Jesus was able to calm the storm and give peace to His friends.” The point was that “no matter what problems they face, Jesus is loving and powerful and He will help them.”
Soon Pastor Mark will begin a teaching series on the 5 Solas with Pastor Greg. After Pastor Mark’s message, we will be doing some work on the property. The team is doing well and their is a great spirit here.
Please keep Mike, Julie, Dennis, Karen Marie, John, Colin, Greg and Mark in your prayers. It’s going to be a great week.

The Tzou’s – Thailand
I have been in Bangkok for two weeks now even though this is my third week away from Madera. I am currently on duty travel in Manila, Philippines this week attending a conference and some workshops. Will be flying back this Saturday. Things have been moving fast in new working and living environments. I am sorry that I have not been very good in communicating to you all. The first week was basically all briefing at the office with lots of meetings everyday and I was able to meet all sorts of people of all nationalities at work, truly an international community along with many national Thai supporting staff. I have also moved from the guesthouse to a temporary apartment near the river after the first week. I am quite pleased with the arrangement, the Lord is gracious in helping me to find such a place. Over here in Old Bangkok where I live, much of the moving around revolves around walking and taking taxis, river boats, and tuk-tuks, which is a form of motorized three-wheeler transport. All of this walking enables me to see more of the city life, which is a plus except for the heat and humidity. Three things that I have observed about its people this last two weeks…1) food and eating, there is food and eating almost at every street corner 2) their king and queen (royalty) appear to be on their mind everywhere they go, there are photos of the king and queen everywhere on the street and buildings 3) very spiritual/religious in their heart, there are altars/mini shrines everywhere in every corner of the street and buildings. They have 15 official national holidays that are mostly either related to the royalty or religion (Buddhism).
We are praying for wisdom and discernment in regard to which school we should send our kids to. Once this is decided then we can start looking for a place to stay. We will need to make a decision fairly soon so that we can reserve a spot for the new coming school year.
Here are some photos of my day in Bangkok:

Morning breakfast at the local Lean-Out Street Cafe.

Getting ready for the boat ride to work.

Sailing into the sunset after a long day’s work.

Dear Family and Friends,
Dennis and I arrived home late Saturday morning. Our two flights home from Barcelona and Amsterdam were on time and without any problems. Our driver to the airport overslept but we made it to the gate in Barcelona with about 10 minutes to spare.
More details about the trip will be forth coming!
Again, thanks for your prayer support throughout this trip!!! We needed God’s help and wisdom in many ways and He helped us through your prayers.
LILJEGREN/BRAGA MISSION UPDATE (4) 2/28
February 28, 2013 by Greg
Dear Family and Friends,
These trips are definitely challenging! We left Florence, Italy about 9am and arrived in Barcelona, Spain at 12:30am…over 15 hrs of travel thru mountain tunnels and passes (the Alps) and along the ocean in France and Spain. Very beautiful scenery! Gennady’s van takes a certain kind of natural fuel and it is not easily available. The van also has a spare 14 liter tank for normal gas. So the last 3 hrs we prayed our way from Montpellier, France to Barcelona really not knowing if we could find gas stations along the toll rood we were on.!!! Of course we did not want to spend the night in the van! But, we made it and stayed in 2 Russian pastor’s homes. We are now getting to know the spiritual situation in Barcelona and Spain in general. There are 2 small Russian speaking churches here in Barcelona but many small groups all over Spain. Pray for us that we can find ways to help them and pray for them. Maybe a summer Family Camp in the future will help solidify and expand the churches here.
Looking back on our Italy ministry, we were very glad to make the various contacts we made at the Summit and in Milan, Genova, and Torino. Our time in Florence was great! We also had a great trip to see the retreat center and meet one of the camp leaders. All of this will help us plan for this summer’s team. Praise the Lord!
Saturday we leave for the US. Please pray for traveling mercies for the final leg of this trip.
Thanks for your prayers and interest in our ministry!
Much love to all,
Jim and Dennis
LILJEGREN/BRAGA MISSION TRIP UPDATE (4) 2/24
February 26, 2013 by Greg
Dear Family and Friends,
We have had a great Sunday with a Moldovan church near Torino. This church speaks both Russian and Romanian.
We came to promote the Italy Family Camp this July. The church was packed with about 200 adults and children. 3 choirs, various ensembles, and soloists sang just beautifully and enthusiastically. Igor, Alexey (our interpreter) who accepted Christ at the 2009 Czech Family Camp, Dennnis, and I spoke about this new camp outreach opportunity for Russian speakers
this July. We are being wonderfully hosted by the pastor and his family and another church
family. We have eaten nonstop! This afternoon we walked around Torino in cold and snowy weather. About 30 degrees!
Our host families are so easy to love as they have showed their love for us over and over!
Pray that many of them will come to the summer camp with unsaved friends and relatives this summer.
Pastor Gennady is in Milan promoting the camp at a small Russian church there. We will pick him up on our way to Florence.
Please continue to pray for my sleep (which is better), for traveling merices…5-6 hours to Milan and Florence, continued good health, and the wisdom to accomplish all that we need to in Florence and at the actual camp retreat location about 1-2 hrs beyond Florence. Hope you can follow this.
Wed…off to Barcelonia, Spain and more prayer needed for that trip! Thank you for standing with us in prayer and interest!
Much love,
Jim and Dennis

Dear Family and Friends,
We are 1/2 way thru the Pastor’s Summit in the middle of Italy. It is cold and snowy but beautiful here in a large local church. There are about 40-50 participants from 15 or more European countries. This is the 3rd Summit for Pastor Gennady’s new organization: Network of Russian Churches in Europe. Today we heard many reports from country coordinators on church planting and other topics such a internet evangelism and discipleship. The goal is 3 new churches in 15 countries by 2015! We depart Sat afternoon for Milan, Genoa, and Torino.
Thanks for your prayers about sleep. I am doing better!
Love to all,

The Liljegren’s – Europe
Dear Family and Friends,
My Winter Missions Trip begins this Tues. Dennis Braga will be my traveling and ministry partner. I am very glad about this! Dennis has been with me on several trips and will be on the Italy Team this summer.
The itinerary for this trip has changed and is attached. We will attend the Slavic Church Planters Summit Feb. 21-23. Then we will talk to 3 Russian-speaking groups in Milan, Genoa, and Torino to promote the summer camp. These are the groups that are available that week, and other groups will be contacted by the Country Coordinator. Please pray daily for travel safety, punctuality and Holy Spirit leading in all our planning.
We will also visit Florence and the team hotel (staying overnight) and the Retreat Center (2 hrs. from Florence) where the summer camp will be located. There are a lot of logistical things to work out before the team comes in mid-July.
After these stops, we will drive in Pastor Gennady’s van to Barcelona, Spain, where he has many Russian contacts. We would love to plan a summer Family Camp in Spain in the future.
Please pray for this strategic trip!
Also, please pray for my sleeping challenges!
I have had a difficult time the last 2 weeks. My doctor thinks I might have some form of sleep apnea or disorder which disrupts my sleep. So, he has given me a sleep aid and this is helping me.
Thanks again for your faithful prayers.
Much love,
Jim

Thank you so much for your continued interest in our ministry. I believe God is going to do great things in and through us in 2013 for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom here on earth!
Many blessings,
Jim

Jim Liljegren – Fall Europe Trip Report
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope your Thanksgiving was great! We have much for which to thank God. Barbara and I are very thankful to the Lord for all of our Prayer Team participants! Thank you for standing with us in prayer this past year! Also, a big thank you to Peter for his email message distribution ministry! We love and appreciate you all.
Since my return home from my Fall Mission Trip to Europe and Turkey, I have been working on the 2013 Summer Team schedule.
Attached are two E-flyers that describe the team ministry in Czech and Pskov. If we can find a retreat center or hotel in Italy, we will bring a team there July 18-28. Please pray about that possibility. If you are interested in any of these teams and want a team application, please let me know. Or, if you know of someone who might be interested, please pass this message on. Thank you!
Also, for southern California folks, I will be giving a report of my Fall Ministry Trip on Sunday, Dec. 9th at 11:30 am at Agoura Bible Fellowship. Hope you can attend!
Christmas blessings,
Jim

Dear Mission Friends,
Here is a report from Ilya Danilyuk our church planter friend in Naples. He oversees all Slavic church planting in Italy under Gennady’s ministry oversight.
God is really working as you will read and see (pictures attached). We hope to find a retreat center, camp, or hotel in the next 2 weeks so we can start to recruit a team for Italy next summer. Please pray about this need!
The Slavic Family Camp in Italy, like the one in Czech Republic, will be an evangelistic outreach for 9 church plants in Italy. There are 9 cities in Italy with either a church (4) or a small Bible study group (5). There are 1.5 million immigrated Russian speakers in Italy…”the harvest is rip unto harvest”…
Please pray for a facility and an American team…”but the workers are few…pray to the Lord of the harvest to provide workers” for 2013!
Much love and happy thanksgiving to all,
Jim
Greetings from Italy!
By grace of God we are blessed and can serve our King of Kings to enlarge His kingdom on the Earth. One month passed so fast and we had an opportunity to have Thanksgivings services in Naples and Rome, also Bible Study and God’s supper in Naples and Rome. Average attendance in Naples is 30 people and in Rome 20 people, but when it is special services we have in Naples about 50 people and in Rome 35 people. We praise His Name. Also we have group Bible studies, visiting sick people in the hospital, a lot of phone calls, also cancelling. We are also going to start classes for people that are getting baptized. We start membership process in Rome and Naples. We need your spiritual support and prayers and to also encourage people to be part of this ministry spiritually and financially. We pray to our LORD to thank you for your part in this ministry. God Bless You and your families.
Your Brother in Christ Ilya Danilyuk

Update 3 – Jim Liljegren – Prague

Dear Family and Friends,
We finally made it to Moldova this morning after 2 flights were cancelled yesterday because of fog. We were put up in a very nice hotel in Bucharest, Romania last night (PTL). We got a total 7 hrs sleep Thurs and Fri nights! Today in Moldova, Ron and I went with Cip and his girlfriend to the village north of Chisinau where he is planting a church. It was great to meet some of the kids who repented at his camp last summer. We also met the Vice Principal of the school who insisted on feeding us. We took the opportunity to give our testimonies and the Gospel to her and her husband. Please pray for her and her husband.
Tomorrow we will speak at Cip’s church where Mihai Malancea is one of the pastors. Our BIG prayer request is for our flight out of Moldova on Monday at 6:30am. Please pray that there will be no fog and the plane will fly to Frankfurt where we will connect with the flight to the USA. There is only one flight that day to Frankfurt from Moldova!
This has been a very full trip. God has shown us many new opportunities for Family Camps in Europe in the next 5 years.
Again, we are so thankful to God for your continued prayer support. May God bless you!
Much love,
Jim and Ron
Update 2 – Jim Liljegren – Prague

Dear Family and Friends,
Ron Mariani, my ministry partner, and I have now arrived in Prague, Czech Republic. We made a mad dash to our Prague plane in Paris after landing 30 min late. We prayed as we went thru passport control and security. We showed up at the gate and the lady told us the door to the plane had been shut for the flight. We begged her to let us on.She made a phone call – we prayed and they let us on. I sat next to David, a 30 yr old businessman who told me that his life is going nowhere. I gave my testimony and the Gospel. He responded that he had never heard this information before and said he was open to discussing it. He even read thru a Gospel tract with more discussion. I have his card so will be following up with him. Please pray for David!!! He lives in Prague and I will ask Oleg, one of our church planters, to develop a friendship with him.
I am staying at Pastor Gennady’s new home in a little village outside of Prague. I love this family. Ron is staying with Igor and family for those who know him.
Thanks for your prayers. We are 9 hrs ahead of you, PST.
Blessed to be a blessing,
Jim
