2017-2018 Liljegren Missions Update

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you very much for your prayer and financial support this past year. Because of you, we were able to minister in Saransk, Russia and Rome, Italy, March 28 – April 17. We renewed our commitment to church leaders in Saransk with whom we have worked for 21 years. In Italy we made plans for the Slavic Youth English Camp, which took place last June 28 – July 12. It was a great success. We were very impressed with the 5 American youth who were part of our team of ten people. God used a remarkable unity of Russian and American young people to demonstrate and articulate the Gospel of Jesus Christ during the camp.

Since our arrival home, I have continued my weekly mentoring ministry with 15 young men. I also Skype regularly with overseas church planters such as Cip in Chisinau, Moldova; Valera in Ukraine; Slava in Almaty, Kazakhstan; Gennady in Nice, France (and his son Andrey in Prague, Czech Rep.); Ilya in Rome, Italy; Victor, Marat, and Vlad in Saransk, Russia; and Jeremy Ireland in Ethiopia.

We have been praying for God’s direction concerning our team evangelism ministry this coming year. God has opened up a new opportunity with Marat and Victor in Russia. They want to reach more youth for Christ and have asked us to bring an American youth team next July to help them conduct a Youth English Camp.

November 1-13, Barbara and I will travel with Patricia Niednagel and Yaroslav Narovchenko  (a youth pastor in PA) to Saransk. We will work with men and women church leaders and make preparations for next summer’s Youth English Camp.

Your prayers and support are needed and appreciated for this November trip and the July Camp ministry.  Our cost for November is $3,500. Checks can be made out to Encouragement International, Inc. with “Nov. Russia Trip” in the memo line. We are motivated to help Slavic churches and their pastors as we go as one “into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation”. (Mark 16:15)

Thank you for your encouragement and prayer support over many years. Because God is helping us maintain our health, we remain committed to our ministry as long as we can do it.

For the Glory of God,

Jim and Barbara

September 8, 2017 ~  “ Trials & Storms” ~ A Call for Prayer

Dear Missionary Prayer Partners:

Greetings from your missionaries to Africa ~ Gil & Carol!  Praise be to God who always leads in triumph and spreads the sweet fragrance of life through the knowledge of Jesus Christ everywhere we go!  We are serving the Lord with gladness.  All is well with our bodies, soul, and spirits in the Lord together with our dear African brothers and sisters serving the Lord in Africa.

THIS IS A CALL FOR PRAYER FOR AFRICA & FLORIDA

Our July “Africa Hope & Jesus Camp” mission was one of the most fruitful mission’s we have ever led!  There was so much eternal fruit through “Jesus Camp” where we saw many students trust Christ and over 40 people trust Christ through the village outreach.  On the final Sunday, 26 people were baptized, and later in the days that followed, many public school students called upon Jesus as their Savior.  On the final week of our mission, the “Gosepl Exploded” as Maasai Pastor James Marembe throughout Maasai Land after we showed the “Jesus Film.” One entire Maasai Village repented several days later when we returned and bowed down to the ground in repentance to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior.  The final crowning moment came with the Africa Hope Bible College Graduation, where Christian Soldiers like Lazerus & Joseph went out to plant new churches and Africa Hope Bible Schools in Tanzania!  Yes ~ A glorious shout of victory was heard in Heaven where Angels rejoiced with all the Saints as the Lion of Judah roared and the echo sounded down even into the dark and empty halls of hell.  We are still praising God for His surpassing greatness and glory!

But as we know, when God gets the glory, Satan makes somebody pay.  We have not even had time to post our mission  pictures and stories on Facebook, or write and send our Pathways prayer letter yet, when we received news from our Africa Hope Director ~ Aggrey Juma, about the price of victory & freedom in Christ.

We decided to send you this “Africa Hope Prayer Request” from Aggrey in his own words excerpted from his emails of the last several days so that you might stand with him in prayer and comfort and encourage his heart.  This is not a cry for funds, it is a CALL FOR PRAYER

Remember:  The only thing Jesus left on earth when He ascended victorious back to Heaven ~ Was a prayer meeting in the “Upper Room” where people prayed, fire fell, the earth shook, the Gospel was preached, people were saved, and missionaries went out and turned the world up side down.  These ACTS of the Holy Spirit through His Servants continue victoriously to this day.  Let us join Him in His triumph of glory and spread the flame of freedom and hope to everyone, everywhere, all the time, in Jesus Name.

We also included an email from James & Choice Mahine who were with us for “Jesus Camp” and who minister in North Kenya at the Africa Hope Center church & school right in the pathway of terror below Somalia.  Also included is an email from  Thomas & Mary Momanyi founders of the Gil Harder Academy where “Jesus Camp” was held in July and the very first baptism was conducted.  Each one of these Kenyan Africa Hope Missionaries remain stedfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for they know their labor in the Lord is not in vain.  ~  I Corinthians 15:58.  Thank you for praying for them!

Please listen to their own words and hearts and send “Africa Hope” by remembering them in prayer and intercession.  For we know that what the devil means for evil, God will use for our good and His glory, honor, and praise!

Your Partners in the Gospel,

Gil & Carol Harder  ~  Romans 15:13

P.S.  We will shortly send the full report of our July Africa Hope Mission and post pictures and videos on our Africa Hope Facebook Page.  Tonight as we write these urgent prayer requests for protection, wisdom, comfort, and hope, our own children Angela & Willie, are right now (Friday, Sept. 8th) directly in the path of Hurricane Irma, in Tampa, Florida in their home praying for the Lord’s mercy and protection.  Thank you for praying and sending all of “Florida Hope” at this hour of great need.

Dear Family and Friends,

Pastor Valera, Yulia, his wife, and kids are on their way to the Youth Camp in Western Ukraine. 26 Eastern Ukrainian kids ages 12-16 from the war zone accompanied by a Christian soldier and doctor will take two long train rides to the Youth Camp in Western Ukraine. At the end of their first ride, they will stop in Kiev (the capital) and visit a zoo, a museum, and eat at McDonalds! Most have never been outside of their cities before so this should be very exciting for them. They all suffer from PTSD from the effects of the ongoing war. The camp starts on Monday, August 7 and ends on Tuesday, August 15th. Please pray for these teenagers that God would speak to their hearts about His love for them.

Below is a list of campers and their year of birth. Valera and Yulia have asked that we pray for each camper by name. They also are very thankful for the financial help to bring these kids to this camp for the first time.

Thank you very much for your prayers and help!

To God be the glory,

Jim

Dear Family and Friends,

Cip is doing such a great job of ministering to so many different age groups in the villages God has led him to in Moldova . Attached is a report of his exciting ministry activities for July. I was so happy that we could bring him to Italy to participate in our Youth Camp there. Everybody loved him and his ministry.

One very important need is the repair and upkeep of his van. Currently, he needs $400 for tires, suspension repair, and general maintenance. Without his van, it would be very difficult for him to travel to the villages to do the work God has called him to do. In the beginning of his village ministry, he used to take 1 or 2 buses and walk 8 miles to get to the first village. He did that for 2 years! And there are 7 villages!

The rental of a gym in Chisinau for the village students who attend the university would be a great extension of this ministry in their lives. At the gym, he could continue the martial arts training, hold Bible studies and prayer groups, and have informal discussions with youth seeking God. The rental cost is $350 per month.

At the end of his report, you will notice the building in the 2nd village that we still want to purchase. $5,000 has already been given for this and $20,000 remains. This building would be a huge ministry tool for Bible studies, TKD classes, English classes, food distribution and so much more! We are praying for these needs.

Your prayers and financial help allow him to continue doing his passion of sharing the Gospel through martial arts, camps, conferences, and one on one meetings with community leaders and others adults.

Thank you for your continued support and love,

Jim

Last September’s Youth Camp in Rome!

Dear Family and Friends,

This summer John Henson from Madera’s Grace Community Church and I will be leading a short-term mission team to a Slavic Youth English Camp near Rome. We are praying that 60-70 young people from the 5 Slavic evangelical churches and 6 Bible study groups will attend and bring some of their unchurched friends.

The dates are July 3 – 8. The location is the Italian Baptist Retreat Center at Rocca Di Papa about 15 miles south of Rome in the mountains. We’ll teach English, play sports, teach seminars, and discuss relevant topics based on the Bible. The goal is to build up believers and share the Gospel with unbelievers.

The American Team of 8 will have three days of preparation and prayer getting to know the camp leadership and interpreters before the Camp begins.

Barbara and I would really appreciate your prayers and financial support for this mission trip. The estimated cost of the trip is $3,200 per person. If you would like to financially help us in this mission, please make your check out to Encouragement International, Inc., and send to P.O. Box 8524, Northridge, Ca 91327-8524.  Please write “2017 Summer English Camp” in the memo line, not our names. Thank you very much in advance for any amount you can send.

Our goal and passion continues to be: reaching Slavic people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and helping church planters establish reproducing, God-reliant churches for the glory of God.

Because He Lives,
Jim and Barbara

Update – The Losch’s – Crossworld

April 20, 2017 by

You might recognize this excerpt from our prayer letter a year ago:

So how’s the “Losch Cause” going?

Would you like a candid answer?  God is doing a lot of great stuff in our lives- our kids love us, we’ve got two more grandkids on the way (okay, they’ve been born and now we have 1 more on the way ), we’re healthy (okay, Dale has been struggling with a bad viral infection for the past week, but is on the mend we think), still in love… But let me tell you a few of the things that are not going so well.

  1. I have a field staff member who is very unhappy with me – saying some pretty harsh things – questioning my integrity. I could use prayer for love, gentleness, self-control… the fruit of the Spirit.  And for a miracle in this relationship.

I just wanted to update that candid answer, I year later: Things haven’t changed, in fact they have gotten more tense.  Dale and I will be flying over to spend the weekend with him and his wife.  The director responsible for this area will also be coming with us to try to bring about reconciliation.   If the situation is not resolved, Dale may need to ask this individual for his resignation. We truly need a miracle, and God’s wisdom and words over this next week.  Above all, we want God glorified through this.

Here are a few verses from Proverbs 17 that you can pray:

“Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife” v.1

“The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the hearts” v.3

“He who covers a transgression seeks love…” v.8

“Rebuke is more effective for a wise man than a hundred blows on a fool” v.10

“The beginning of strife is like releasing water; therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts” v. 14

“He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord” v.15

“He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit” v. 27

Thank you so much for partnering with us not just financially, but also emotionally and spiritually.  We long for God to do a miracle here this week not only in this relationship, and the people that they work with but also in our lives.  Please pray to that end.  Thank you so much.

Update – The Losch’s – Crossworld

March 28, 2017 by

We want to thank you for the support that you send in regularly to Crossworld.  What a blessing to see God’s provision each month.

I was blessed to be able to visit our Asia staff in February for their conference.  Since Dale was unable to attend, I asked one of the women who I have been working with to come with me and help watch some of the kids.  She jumped at the chance and I was thrilled to see her eyes for the world open, her heart for missions begin to beat.  She was truly amazed talking with our workers, hearing their stories and hearing their struggles.  She was surprised that they struggle with some of the same things that she struggles

with- she could relate with them and ministered to them in a great way.

We just returned for a weeklong mission’s conference at a church in PA.

Those types of conferences are not very common anymore where there is something each night of the week!  God used Dale mightily in that church as he spoke and God began to do a great work in the lives of the hearers.  Some got up and shared what they were going to do about the messages that they had heard, and many more shared with us personally after the last service.

Then the next day, someone e-mailed and told us that he had decided that he was going to engage in a conversation with an immigrant.  That very morning while he was at the pharmacy he began to not just see with his eyes, but with his heart so he began a conversation with a man from the Middle East who eyes lit up when someone engaged him in conversation!

It was not all positive though, we were saddened when talking with a woman on another church’s missions committee.  She was so excited to tell us that their church had raised $40,000 to help refugees “over there, not over here!

God knows that we don’t need more immigrants here!” Wow, how do you respond to a 70+ year old woman who just does not understand the opportunity that we have right now to invest in the world that is right here on our doorstep!

There is still much to do.

Thank you for investing in us.  We leave on Saturday for another mission’s conference.  We have quite a bit of travels over the next few weeks.  We would appreciate your prayers.

May God show you how to continue to reach out to those in your neighborhood with the message of the gospel.

Dale and Jerusha

Dear Missionary Friends:      Thank You for sending “Africa Hope”

Next week I am taking your prayers, faith, and gifts of love to Africa and sharing them with our partners in the Gospel:  Aggrey & Linet Juma, James & Choice Mahine, Thomas & Mary Momanyi, Carol Sarah, Africa Hope Pastors, Maasai Villages, and those “Divine Appointments” God has prepared.  Lordwilling I hope to visit each of our Kenyan partners in the Gospel to impart some spiritual gift and encouragements. Thank you for going with me in prayer and faith.

My prayer goals for this mission include discipleship training with our Africa Hope Directors and these 2017 Faith Projects:

__________________________________________________________

1)  Purchase of  two adjoining acres on Mt. Kilimanjaro

2)  Drilling a water well on our Mt. Kilimanjaro property

3)  Building a home on our property for our Africa Hope Director

4)  Purchase a new motorcycle for James & Choice in North Kenya

5)  Preparations to conduct a July 2017 “Jesus Camp” &  Maasai Outreach

__________________________________________________________

Right now the Rift Valley of Kenya is in a severe drought.  Crops and cattle are dying.  We are praying for relief from Heaven and for a good well on our school property that will refresh everyone. Where water flows, life grows!   Pray that we shall discover where the good water is and tap into living water that will spring up into eternal life for everyone.  We are trusting the Lord for His good will and provision.

Two years ago in 2015, we conducted “Jesus Camp” at our two elementary schools in Kenya.  Since then, not only have our schools grown, but they have each conducted their own Jesus Camps in 2016 just as we had hoped and prayed!  After the 2015 Jesus Camp, James & Choice Mahine, our Africa Hope Academy Directors from North Kenya, took the Jesus Camp vision home to North Kenya.  Not only did their 85 students grow and benefit from Jesus Camp, but the surrounding villages were reached by the students during Jesus Camp, and many Muslim villagers trusted Christ as a result!

Last year after the 2016 Kenyan National exams, the Gil Harder Academy in Kitengela was ranked #1 in academic standing out of 51 schools in Kijado County ~ the largest county in Kenya.  We praise God for the dedication of our teachers not only academically, but spiritually as well.  Most of our students come from very poor marginalized villages and would never have any hope of ever going to school.  Many are orphans and come from villages where the average wage is one dollar a day from intensive farm labor on “Flower Farms.”

Now these “Flower Children” are blossoming with hope and reaching past poverty to the true riches of Christ’s wisdom and glory of God.  We hope and pray that our students will continue their pursuit of God by training to become missionaries, pastors, and evangelists at one of our three Africa Hope Bible Colleges in the Rift Valley when they graduate.  Our Africa Hope Bible College graduates are right now planting “Church/Schools” throughout East Africa, and we praise the Lord of the Harvest for His Great Commission and Great Compassion and Grace.

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING AND SENDING AFRICA HOPE!  YOU ARE MAKING A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN JESUS NAME.  WE ARE HONORED TO BE YOUR AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST IN AFRICA!

Have you ever been tired of your work environment?  Sick and tired of the back-biting, the complaining, the competition to beat out the next guy? Maybe you’re just tired of your neighbors!  Oh, for a cabin in the woods!!! Let me introduce you to Sokleng, a believer who works at a bank in Cambodia.  She too, had become frustrated at work because all her co-workers gossiped, tore each other apart, took sides and tried to get her to join in their destructive conversations.  She longed for peace, to go about her work quietly doing her job without this constant pressure.  She decided the best thing for her to do, was to leave her job and go to another province and look for a completely different job than she had been trained for just to be free of all this hypocrisy and pressure.  After seeking God through prayer, God lead her to read Matthew 9:12, “It is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick?”  Immediately, it hit her that her workplace was full of sick people that needed the healing that only Jesus could bring. God had planted her right in the middle of this environment so that she could connect the sick to the Doctor who could bring the healing they needed.  Right then and there she knew that God wanted her to stay and work at the bank!

You have had a part in the ministry that Sokleng is involved in.  Her mentor has learned through the training that we do here, that God wants to use believers in the workplace to further His kingdom.  She has been encouraging Sokleng to listen to God’s voice, and that He would show her the path that she should take. And God showed up!  Thank you for your faithful gift that has helped make this possible.

Rejoice with us on the birth of our 4th grandchild; Josiah Samuel was born last week to Nathan and Breanna.

I will be headed to Thailand on Tuesday morning with a gal that I have been discipling for the past 4 years.  We are going to go care for the kids of our workers in Asia as they attend a conference.  Please pray for Rita.  She has been outside the US only once and really doesn’t understand “missions”.  Pray for my interaction with her, as well as all the interactions that she will have with those attending that she would gain more of a heart for the nations.  We’d appreciate prayer for safety, good health, enthusiasm as we work with the children all day, and for their parents to be encouraged and refreshed.

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support that makes this possible.

Hello again!

Thank-you so much for you generous outpouring of love through emails and visits and hugs in response to our last update. You are an encouraging bunch!

Things have changed since that last email we sent and we’d like update you.

Almost as soon we let you all know that we were headed back to Papua despite Michael’s long-standing intestinal troubles, we got a call from a good friend who is a doctor. He very lovingly yelled at us that this was not a good plan, and we cannot go back until Michael is healthy, lest he end up with more and more serious, potentially irreparable health troubles down the road.

Not only did he say this, but he also said that this does not have to be the “new normal” for Michael. This is very exciting! He is aware of and has been a part of a treatment program that has great success rates. We, along with his guidance, are currently looking into this.

As a result, we will be delayed in our return to Papua. When we know more of what this will look like, we’ll send another update.

We continue to trust our gracious and loving Father in Heaven, and in His perfect timing! Please pray with us for healing and a timely return to our home in Indonesia.

The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.

Happy New Year, 2017!

Looking ahead…

Dear Family and Friends,

2017 will be an exciting year for us as we continue our global missions ministry. We have been asked to help organize and lead a Slavic English Camp for youth near Rome July 3-8. I am selecting 10 youth workers who will make up this evangelistic team.  We are hoping for 80 youth to attend. After the camp, Barbara and I will go to Nice, France to help Pastor Gennady Gavrilov do evangelism. There are 60,000 Russian-speaking people in Nice with no Slavic church.

This spring, Coach John Henson from Madera, Barbara, and I will go to Italy April 8-12 and meet with the Slavic pastors to prepare for the summer English Camp.

Right before this Italy trip, we will be in Saransk, Russia March 29-April 7 at the invitation of two young Saransk pastors. A few Americans will join us on this “Alumni Team”. This will give us opportunity to encourage the pastors and our brothers and sisters in Christ. (Acts 15:36) We have ministered in Saransk since 1996 and have been there many times doing evangelism and follow-up.

2017 Missions Itinerary:

Saransk, Russia: March 28-April 7- Alumni Team

Rome, Italy: April 8-12 – Leadership Team (July Youth English Camp prep.)

Rome, Italy: June 28-July 12 – Slavic Youth English Camp

Nice, France: June 12-18 – Evangelism with Pastor Gennady

Your prayers and financial help are appreciated and needed. We are motivated to help Slavic pastors in these countries as we  “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation”. (Mark 16:15)

If you would like to help us financially, please make your check out and mail to Encouragement International, Inc. and put in the Memo line: STM – 1.

Thank you for your encouragement and prayer support over many years. God has helped us regain good health, and we remain committed to our ministry as long as we can do it.

For the Glory of God,

Jim and Barbara

Our dear friends

We hardly got used to year 2016, and the 2017 calendar is filling up fast. Would you believe that 17 years past since Y2K? After Christmas joy comes the New Year and questions what lies ahead of us and what to expect? The Christmas Season ends on January 6th here in Czech Republic. According to catholic tradition it is the day of three kings (wise men).

It is hard to imagine that 28 years after the fall of the Iron curtain, and days we all were concerned about the “New World Order,” now we are concerned about the end of it. Our civilization and peace is under siege. Christian events, well known places, street markets and public gatherings are in the terrorist’s focus. Police armed with long guns in black uniforms patrols public places. Concrete barriers are erected at tourist places where crowds of people gather. Our world is facing hostility and getting again smaller. We have many reasons to pray for the future as we rejoice that He is in charge:

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

(Jeremiah 29:11).

Blessings and best wishes to all,

In His Service

P.S. Pavel’s book goes to the printer on January 10th.

As we enter this season of gift giving, I am always amazed at the absolutely incredible gift that the Father gave me-the gift of eternal life with Him because of His willingness to give His Son up for me!  How can I ever pay Him back, or express my thankfulness enough?  I can’t- that is the plain simple truth! But as I just finished reading Micah in my One Year Bible, I was humbled again:

“What can we bring to the Lord? What kind of offerings should we give Him?  Should we bow before God with offerings of yearling calves?  Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil?  Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins?  NO, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you; to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

As your ambassador, we desire to live this way before God, before our neighbors, our co-workers, and before the world.  Thank you for investing is us.

We are praying for you especially this Christmas season for all your Christmas services and programs.  May He be lifted up and draw all men to Himself.

Dear Family and Friends,

We are now in Rome after a great time in Moldova. In Moldova we were ministering to poor people in villages under the direction of Cip. In Italy we are supporting the work in major cities among immigrant Slavic people under the leadership of Ilya Danilyuk. He came to Italy 5 years ago to start a church planting ministry. There are now 6 church plants led by people he has recruited and trained among 3 million Russian speaking people.

Summer camps are a very important part of Ilya’s ministry. Tomorrow we will participate in a 3 day Youth Camp about an hour north of Rome. At the camp we plan on meeting with several church planters regarding planning for next summer’s English Camp led by an American team.

Parker Amstutz arrived this morning and has been a real blessing already! I am truly amazed at administrative abilities. Attached is a picture of Parker and me at an ancient site in Rome.

Prayers continue to be needed as we all head to the camp tomorrow. Thank you!

Blessed to be a blessing,

Jim and Barbara with Parker

Update from 9/2

Dear Family and Friends,

We are halfway through the youth camp at the Baptist Union Retreat Center about 1 hr. south of Rome. We are really enjoying the new relationships we have made, getting to know the people and how they came to Italy. There are about 40 participants in the camp. The main speaker is Pastor Eugene Kruzhkov (picture 1), who is the Slavic Youth Ministry Director for the West Coast, USA. There is a Moldovan worship team here who are passionate about God. After morning seminars, the group played Ultimate Frisbee, football (soccer), and went on a hike. (picture 3)

Parker’s roommate and interpreter is Edik from Moldova (picture 2). His mother was unfit to raise him and was put in jail. At 15 Edik was brought to an orphanage where he received Christ. He never met his dad. During his entire life, he never went to public school. Now he has finished a Bible school in Moldova and will take his GED test soon to get his diploma. He learned English on his own. He is on staff at a mission agency that ministers to orphans. He knows Cip and goes to Cip’s church in Chisinau. Small world! We hope we are an encouragement to this outstanding young man!

This afternoon, we met with Ilya and the Slavic church leaders to determine what next summer’s camp will look like. Your prayers are appreciated. Barbara, Parker, and I are doing well!

Blessed to be a blessing,

Jim, Barbara, and Parker

Update 9/6

Dear Family and Friends,

The Youth Camp is over and was a great success. We are planning an English Youth Camp with an American Team next July and are awaiting confirmation of the dates from the Retreat Center leaders. Today we worshipped at Ilya’s Slavic church in Rome. Four people were baptized and we celebrated the Lord’s Supper. Parker shared his testimony and I shared some thoughts from the Word. There were over 50 people in attendance. The fellowship was really sweet! We will miss these dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

Tomorrow we fly back to LA praising the Lord for a great 2 week mission trip. Thank you for your prayer support! We really do appreciate your love!

Blessed to be a blessing,

Jim, Barbara, and Parker

Dear Prayer Partner,

I resigned from CEF yesterday in order to be able to minister to my family and be the wife, daughter-in-law, mother and grandmother God wants me to be.  Your ongoing support and prayers for me and the ministry of CEF has been so amazing and such a blessing from the hand of God!  I was amazed from the start and I end still in amazement!  I praise God for you!  I have ended with my financial support being where it needs to be to date!  Your response for help in June was such an outpouring of love!  I pray that your giving to reach the children in our community blessed you!  Almost 10,000 children were reached in our chapter during this past year!  Hallelujah!

I plan to continue to be a volunteer in the Nishimoto Good News Club and serve wherever I can to bring the Gospel to the children in Madera.  I love you and pray that we will continue to serve where God is using us in Good News Clubs and our daily lives!

I want to close with pictures from our 3 Day Club at Pomona Migrant Center just off Avenue 12.  I had a wonderful team of precious volunteers; six adults and seven young people!  We passed out 21 Spanish Bibles to the parents and adults as we walked door to door to invite the children.  We had 55 children attend our club with 18 new children professing their faith in Jesus and 6 rededications from last year!  Two children responded to the call to consider becoming missionaries when they grow up!  Praising God from whom all blessings flow!  I stand amazed!

With much love and gratitude,

Bonnie
