In the midst of economic hardships and unemployment there is a growing interest in serving and giving back to one’s community. People from every generation are rising up to clean up, volunteer and make a difference.

On April 27, 2013 Madera will join 40 other cities in the Valley as community members come together to LOVE their city. As a volunteer, you will join thousands of other volunteers across the Valley through your participation in one of the following community service projects.

Park and Trail Clean Up
Clean up of the Fresno River
Volunteer at a local animal shelter
Give life by donating blood
Canned food drive to benefit our local Food Bank
Visiting Residents at a local Convalescent Home
Make and deliver bag lunches to our city’s homeless
Serving a hot meal at the Madera Rescue Mission
Beautify a local Elementary school
Knit or crochet baby blankets for Doors of Hope Pregnancy Center
