Moses sent 12 spies to explore the promised land. Ten of them were afraid of the giants and the fortified cities and told the people they could not take the land. Their fear spread throughout the camp, causing the Israelites to sin by not trusting God. Two of the spies, Joshua and Caleb, trusted that God would give them victory.
