I just wanted to share with you another great story that we received from Charles, one of our workers in Europe.  They had been having a series of piano concerts from one of our part-time Crossworld workers who offers to fly over and put them on wherever he is invited.  Sam is a concert pianist, and a converted Jew and always shares his testimony at the end of each concert; he has been doing this for us for years.  This particular concert wasn’t even on the island where Charles lived, but on a neighboring island.  As Charles was wrapping up the evening, someone tapped him on the shoulder and asked what he was doing on that island.  It happened to be Charles’ landlady!  They had been praying for her since 2009 but she had never seemed open to spiritual conversations.  But while visiting this island, his landlady saw the poster and decided to attend- not realizing that her renter was associated with the pianist!  That night through hearing Sam’s testimony, she said to Charles, “Jesus came into my life tonight!”  Isn’t that incredible?  Now Charles’ wife is following up with her!

Isn’t that amazing how God brought this woman to Himself?  It just reminds me of the verses: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”  Is. 55:8,9

We have an amazing God who allows even us to have a small part in this salvation story!  It is so interesting to me to think of the many people that God used to orchestrate this new birth, not just Sam, & Charles and his wife and kids, but their supporters and pray-ers, as well as your gifts and prayers that have allowed us to visit Charles and his wife, and to encourage them to remain faithful despite the lack of obvious results in their ministry.  Rejoice with us and with the angels who are rejoicing in heaven!

Thank you for your generous gift again last month.  We long to be faithful as we minister both here and overseas.  We need wisdom for the many challenges that we face monthly.  As I read Solomon’s prayer this morning, I thought how fitting it is for Dale and I right now: “So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” We desperately need your prayers right now for understanding, wisdom, and discernment.  Thanks for your faithfulness and for the huge encouragement that you are to us.
